Well, it's been ages since I've posted. For a teacher, this time of year is really crazy. I know, I know, you all are saying "Don't complain, you get summers off!" And that's true. But even so, getting back into the swing of school is just plain exhausting. I have to get up so early and everything. And do work and stuff. It's hard.

Okay, fine, you don't feel the least bit sorry for me. And you REALLY won't feel sorry for me when I tell you that I'm going to London in a few weeks to visit the Order of the Phoenix sets. Warner contacted me a week ago and invited me, out of the blue. Can you imagine? I am so excited, I can't even tell you. And yes, they're paying for it, the whole trip. Amazing.

I will be writing a set visit report, of course, and we'll post it on the Lexicon as soon as Warner gives the green light to publish.

*happy dance*

Bon voyage! Remember to write down all the tiny details about the shops or the classrooms?

Very cool news, Steve. Have a good time, and yes...see Heidi's comment above: minutiae! We need more minutiae!

-Beth, who had to start teaching last week and thus has no sympathy. :)

As a fellow teacher I was feeling a wee bit sorry for you (and me) until you told me you're going to London... Not fair! *pouts*

Oh my gosh, Steve! 'Out of the blue'...that's just incredible. I can't get over how cool this is. And oh, London, I'm so envious. Steve, this is really amazing; have a great time, and I can't wait to hear about it!

Congratulations! And be certain to kick them in the balls while you are th- That is quite out of the blue when one thinks of how they usually interact with fans. I hope they are softening a bit, that could be nice for all of us. It is going to some experience. I am not jealous. Much.

As for the new term, it means that I don't have to work so much, since I am back at the university as of tomorrow. Summer is the worst time of year for me, even though I, also as a former teacher, know exactly how you feel.

Sounds like a stressing month you are facing.

They're paying for it?

Maybe I'm just cynical but my immediate reaction is that they're trying to influence the Lexicon.

Feeling Sorry????

Why feel sorry for a lucky bastard.

Influencing the Lexicon?

Maybe they want you to make an entry in which is catalogued all the movies deviations from the canon.
In that case they better cough up for a complete new site.

We have that already (at least, we try to make it complete).

Go to the about/films portion of the Lexicon and look at
the pages about changes and errors therein.

How totally exciting! I wouldn't sleep a wink between now and then. See if Jo left a copy of her Book 7 notes lying around the set, by accident.....

It's about time they invited YOU since so many lesser Gods of HP-dom--and reporters that can't even manage a secret squee!-- have already been there...

Yeah, better you than a reporter that doesn't know how to spell "Jenny"!

Have a great time! Maybe, if you see them doing something stupid, you can tell the director, "That's not how it was in the book!" Wishful thinking...
